A small former Wesleyan Methodist chapel on the hill leading out of Wheathampstead towards Sandridge. This locally listed building has been converted into offices.
Disused since 2012 and subject to failed planning applications to replace it with a hall, church and housing it stands stripped just south of the village centre. It was built in 1876.
A simple church of 1971 by Lanner of Wakefield, replacing a church of 1938.
Taking Stock entry
Unusual for Hertfordshire in having a lead spire and a cruciform plan. Its sits in a large churchyard right in the middle of this large village between Welwyn Garden City and Harpenden. There is a 13th century chancel and tower. The 14th century added the transepts in their present form and aisles. it was restored in 1863-66 by Edward Browning.
