A tiny village on a ridge between Cottered and Buntingford. The church is on the edge of the village in a large churchyard.  The distinctive feature is the ungainly brick tower top dated 1660. The interior has a monument of 1753 by Rysbrack and one with a female figure by Nollekens.

Visited the. But h today, what a shame it was shut. Cottered was open though, much more welcoming. It’s all very nice having a place of worship if you can’t actually get in to do that. Whilst I appreciate the security aspect, maybe the gnostic gospels are right, we don’t need a church between man and God.
